Two words that involve changing. Revolution, a turn and Evolution, progress. The first, social as power structure, while the second implies an unfolding and a phase of transformation and development.
Traveling is a constant in the photographic work of Ricardo Arispe, is done on this occasion, with the intention of understanding the consequences and outcome of a social and ideological process that happened in other latitudes.He uses the prefix Re and the word Involution as a metaphor to point out the opposite, the antonym of progress, a regression.
The photographs become symbols, at the same time they represent technological power, armament, and great infrastructure, overflowing with ideological advertising everywhere as the greatest leader on a monumental scale, ultimately badges of greatness.Confronted with a stopped clock, an angel, deserted buildings, gas masks and a devastated supermarket. Uninhabited spaces, with the presence of traces that tell us that they were alive, this leads us to question: with what purpose?.
The photographic installation makes a comparison between the revolutionary process of the former Soviet Union, occurred in other latitudes, and the one that currently lives Venezuela. It is about understanding failure, understanding the painful outcome of ideological revolutions made by goverments who try to stay in power at all costs.

Dos palabras que entrañan un cambio. Revolución, una vuelta y Evolución, progreso. La primera, social en tanto estructura de poder, mientras que la segunda, implica un desenvolvimiento y una fase de transformación y desarrollo.
El viaje una constante en los ensayos fotográficos de Ricardo Arispe, es realizado en esta ocasión, con la intención de entender las consecuencias y desenlace de un proceso social e ideológico ocurrido en otras latitudes. Utiliza el prefijo Re y la palabra Involución como una metáfora para señalar lo contrario, el antónimo de progreso, una regresión.
Las fotografías se convierten en símbolos, a la vez que representan a una potencia tecnológica, armamentista, de magnas obras de infraestructura, sitiada de publicidad ideológica por doquier y la esfinge del máximo líder a escala monumental, en fin insignias de grandeza. Confrontadas con un reloj detenido, un ángel, edificios abandonados, mascaras antigás y un supermercado devastado. En consecuencia, espacios deshabitados, con la presencia de rastros de que en algún momento fueron vividos, que nos llevan a cuestionar ¿para qué?
La instalación fotográfica hace un parangón entre el proceso revolucionario de la antigua Unión Soviética, ocurrido en otras latitudes, y el que vive actualmente Venezuela. Se trata de su visión de un fracaso, de un desenlace adolorido que tienen las revoluciones ideológicas que tratan de mantenerse en el poder a toda costa.
